Frequently Asked Questions
Atlas Automotive Repair LLC – Tulsa, OK
We’re a small, independent shop that runs on honesty, clear communication, and fixing things the right way - not upsells, gimmicks, or corporate quotas. This FAQ lays out what to expect so you’re not left guessing.

We schedule all vehicles by appointment, for nearly all inspections, diagnostics, and repairs. It keeps our workflow clean and gives every car the attention it deserves.
But if your car’s down and you need help ASAP, don’t panic - you’re always welcome to drop it off. Once it’s here and we have your info, you’re in line. We’ll get to it as soon as possible, and often times that’s quicker than expected.
Drop-offs must happen before 10:00 AM on the day of your appointment unless otherwise arranged. Early drop-offs are encouraged and give us the best chance of getting started sooner. Use our secure after-hours key drop if needed.

Yes - a few services are available without an appointment:
Oil Changes: Walk-ins are welcome at 9:00 AM, and you’re welcome to wait. If you drop off before 10:00 AM, we can usually get it done same-day.
A/C Service: Available Monday–Friday from 10 AM to 4 PM. If we find a leak or issue, the service fee is still billed, even if repairs are declined.
Quick Checks: Fluid top-offs, tire air-ups, or air filter replacements - we’ll handle these if time allows.
Headlight Bulbs: We’ll take a look. If it’s a five-minute fix, we’ll knock it out. If it needs bumper removal, we’ll need to schedule it.

Click the link below to request an appointment. Give us some info about your vehicle and concern, and you’ll be placed in line. If your car is down, feel free to drop it off early. Just use the key drop and include your name, number, and what’s going on.
-
Only for specific things like oil changes. Most repairs and diagnostics aren’t wait-friendly. Cars don’t always follow the script, and we don’t like rushing just because someone’s in the lobby watching the clock.
If you’re dropping off, we’ll text you as soon as it’s ready and send the invoice straight to your phone or computer. You can pay online and pick up anytime before closing.
-
Yes, but you’ll need to schedule an appointment first - we’re appointment only. You can call, text, email, or book online. Once you're on the schedule, you’re welcome to drop your vehicle off whenever works best for you.
If you're dropping off after hours, here's how to do it:
Park in the large lot directly in front of the shop, facing 11th Street along Route 66.
Do not park on side streets or in front of our bay doors - that delays repairs for everyone.
Leave your keys in the secure drop box next to the front entrance.
Send us a quick text at (918) 910-2886 to let us know the vehicle has arrived.
If your vehicle is being towed in, you don’t need to be there. Tow companies know where to go and how to drop the vehicle off safely.
We ask that all vehicles arrive by 10:00 AM on the day of the appointment, or we’ll have to cancel to make room for other scheduled work. If you drop it off early, we’ll do our best to get to it ahead of schedule.
-
We aren’t like most shops. We work by appointment only—no walk-ins or first-come-first-serve chaos. Here’s how it goes:
Schedule your appointment
Call, text, email, or book online. Once you’re on the schedule, you’re locked in.Drop off your car by 10:00 AM
Your vehicle needs to be here by 10:00 AM on the day of your appointment. If it’s not, we’ll have to cancel and move on to the next car.
If you want to drop it off early (even the day before), that’s totally fine—and we’ll try to get to it sooner if we can.We perform a $30 Inspection of Concern
This is not a free “glance-over.” You’re getting real diagnostic time from a qualified technician. They’ll:Try to replicate the issue based on your description
Run the vehicle through any relevant tests
Inspect related systems and components
Document what they find
Use actual data and test results to figure out what’s going on
Then we’ll send you a digital report (by text, email, or phone—your choice) that includes our findings, photos or videos if needed, and a detailed estimate for any recommended repairs.
You decide what to do next
If you approve the repair, we get to work. If not, no pressure. You just pay the $30, and we keep everything on file in case you want to come back to it later.
-
We don’t believe in jumping into paid diagnostics unless they’re truly needed. Most of the time, we start with our $30 “Inspection of Concern” - a hands-on evaluation where we listen to the symptoms, pop the hood, and look for anything obvious. Sometimes the issue is clear right away.
If more in-depth testing is needed, we’ll explain exactly why and offer a focused diagnostic plan. We’re very good at this part. Pinpointing root causes and helping customers avoid unnecessary parts and labor is what we do best - and it saves a lot more money (and stress) in the long run.
-
We’ll try, but here’s the truth: most of the estimates we build without seeing the vehicle don’t end up matching what’s actually wrong. That’s why we always recommend starting with an in-person inspection. It saves everyone time, money, and headaches.
Our $30 “Inspection of Concern” gives us a chance to evaluate the issue firsthand, and from there, we can provide an accurate estimate and plan of action.
If you still want to request a ballpark, email is best - or leave us a detailed voicemail. Just call us at (918)910-2886 and follow the prompts. Make sure to include your VIN, year, make, model, trim, engine size, and the specific parts and quantities you are interested in having replaced. The more info, the better.
Just keep in mind that any estimate we give without inspecting the vehicle is a rough guess. If you’re just curious about average repair costs, tools like AAA.com, RepairPal.com, or Kelley Blue Book can help.
And if you're unsure about what needs replacing, the best move is to book an appointment so we can give you a proper, accurate quote.
-
We’ll take a look at what you were told - but we’ll still confirm it ourselves before recommending repairs. We’ve seen way too many “diagnoses” that are completely wrong.
If we’re putting our name and warranty on the job, we want to be 100% sure.
-
No. As long as you approve the repair within 14 days, we’ll honor the original inspection and estimate. After that, we sometimes may need to recheck the vehicle or estimate depending on what’s changed.
-

We do! When scheduling online, just select a Maintenance Inspection. We’ll review your vehicle’s service history using CARFAX and compare it to the manufacturer’s maintenance schedule. Then we’ll actually test your fluids with chemical test strips, not just eyeball them. We check high-priority items, look for signs of neglect or over-servicing, and give you an honest, well-informed recommendation. We take this seriously - too many customers come to us with a list of unnecessary services recommended elsewhere, and after we check it out properly, there’s nothing wrong. It’s frustrating, but it’s exactly why we do it right.
-
We offer an extensive range of services including repair, maintenance, diagnostic testing, consulting, advising, and more. Whether it’s a noise, a light on the dash, or just something that doesn’t feel right, we start with an evaluation of your concern and provide honest, clear recommendations on what - if anything - needs to be done.
Every situation is different, so we don’t push unnecessary services - we figure out what your vehicle actually needs.
If you’d like to see a list of services we do offer (and a few we don’t), you can check that out Here.

No, but we install Jasper engines, transmissions, transfer cases, axles, and even turbos. They come with a 3-year/100,000-mile nationwide warranty, and we handle everything from ordering to install. Learn more about Jasper Here.

We’re a full-service repair shop, which means we handle the entire process from start to finish. Part of that responsibility is being experts not just in repairs, but also in sourcing high-quality replacement parts. When a customer tries to handle part of the job themselves, it often leads to delays, wasted time, and lost money. By using parts we source, we ensure compatibility, reliability, and a warranty we can actually stand behind.
-
Yes, and we highly recommend them. Used vehicles in Oklahoma are sold as-is with no warranty, so having a vehicle inspected beforehand is one of the smartest things you can do. Most shops - including us - are very adamant about inspecting a vehicle before you commit to buying it.
We do offer pre-purchase inspections, but they do need to be scheduled in advance. If time is tight and a deal is on the line, we recommend calling around to nearby shops as well - trust us, they’ll be just as happy as we are that you’re doing your homework.
-
The goal is always to get your car back to you as quickly as possible. That said, even simple jobs can spiral into multi-day projects - and as masters of the trade, we know that all too well. We work efficiently, we communicate clearly, and we do everything we can to keep delays to a minimum. You'll hear from us the moment your vehicle is ready, and you’ll have 14 days of free parking to settle up and pick it up at your convenience.

As a TechNet repair facility, we offer a 3-year/36,000-mile nationwide warranty that’s honored at over 16,000 partner shops across the country. It includes roadside assistance and peace of mind no matter where you are. Because our repairs are typically so thorough and reliable, we see less than a 1% warranty rate. And when something does need attention, customers tell us they’re genuinely surprised at how easy and stress-free the process is. We're here to help, and we stand behind our work every step of the way.
See more about our warranty Here. -
Cash, card, check, kisses, Google Pay, and Apple Pay. We also accept most fleet cards.
Need to finance a repair? We offer multiple financing options, including Snap Finance, Koalifi, WiseTack, Synchrony, and American First Financing.
(Okay, maybe not kisses) -
We don’t have our own tow trucks, but we’ll help coordinate a tow and recommend someone reliable. We often suggest reaching out to your insurance or roadside assistance provider first - many customers are surprised to learn they’re already paying for a towing benefit they didn’t know about.
If you need a trustworthy local option, we recommend Manny’s Towing at (918) 378-5102. If your repair ends up being covered under a TechNet warranty, you may also be eligible for reimbursement of towing costs. See your warranty information included with your receipt or read more Here.

You can have your vehicle towed to our lot anytime and leave the keys in our secure key drop. If you’re able to call, text, or email us ahead of time, great - but if you can’t, at least leave us something. A name, a number, a note in the drop box - anything helps. If we can identify the vehicle or owner, we’ll hold it for up to five days. If we can’t, we’ll hold it for 24 hours while we wait to hear from you.
No work will begin until we’ve been able to connect with you directly and confirm next steps. We’re here to help - communication just helps us help you better.
-
We’ll be real with you: the shop is a little old-school.
We don’t have espresso machines or modern art on the walls. But we do have:
Cold drinks
Free Wi-Fi
A couple of plants doing their best
A TV that plays music videos
Some old car magazines (don’t judge us)
It’s simple, clean, and focused on what matters - fixing your vehicle right.
